Biodiversity Assessment

Biodiversity assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of the variety and abundance of species of living things. Biodiversity assessments are conducted in various ecosystem types such as terrestrial ecosystems, aquatic ecosystems, peat swamp ecosystems, and mangrove ecosystems. This is done by going through the process of identifying species, understanding the role of each species of living things in their ecosystem, and assessing their ecological condition. These assessments are essential for protecting endangered species, ensuring ecosystem function, supporting sustainable development, and guiding policy decisions.

Social and Biodiversity Impact Assessment (SBIA)

The processes of analyzing, monitoring, and managing the intended and unintended social and biodiversity consequences, both positive and negative, of planned interventions and any change processes invoked by those interventions. Its primary purpose is to bring about a more sustainable and equitable biophysical, human environment, and biodiversity
